It takes 2-8 hours to finalise a loan application
once all the required documentation is provided by
the client.

We require a copy of your ID or passport, the latest payslip as proof employment and a three month bank statement. Clients will also be required to accept/approve a Debicheck mandate on their banking app, online banking or nearest ATM and electronically sign a loan agreement using the internet to access it.

All loans are payable via debit order. For manual payments of arrear amount please contact us for the banking details.

For every loan application we carefully consider your financial position and your ability to meet any additional loan repayments, based on your income, monthly credit obligations and living expenses. Where our assessment shows that you may struggle to pay any additional credit instalment/s the loan application is then declined. As a responsible credit provider it is our duty to never offer you more credit than you can afford to comfortably repay. Taking out additional credit should only result in positive outcomes, not a prolonged financial burden. In a case where your loan application has been declined we suggest waiting another 30 days before applying again. Multiple inquiries at the Credit Bureau in a short period of time may negatively impact your credit score.

We pay you as soon as your application is approved and all the DebiCheck mandate(s) have been authorised by you, but it can take up to 48hrs for the funds to reflect in your bank account, depending on your bank

Cancelling an application that is still in progress There are 2 options: Your application will automatically be cancelled after 7 days if you don't complete it. You don't need to contact us to cancel it. OR When you start a new application, your old loan application (if it is still in progress) will be cancelled automatically.

A DebiCheck debit order is a new safer debit order for South African consumers that allows only you to authorise companies like Handy Loans to collect money safely from your bank account. Only DebiCheck debit order mandate(s) that you authorise allow banks and credit providers to collect money from your bank account. Use your banking app/online banking to authorise all your DebiCheck mandates from your bank account. Note: All mandates for a loan must be authorised before the loan will be granted.

• Please go to our website and click on 'Login', then click on 'Forgot Password' link.
• Enter your ID number (your username), select 'Email' or 'SMS' option; and then add your email address/mobile number you used when you created your Handy Loans profile and click 'Send link'.
• A reset password link will be sent to the above mentioned email address/mobile number. Open the email (Check your spam folder if the email is not in your inbox)/SMS and click on the link in the email/SMS to reset your password.
• On the reset password page, enter your new password in the 'New password' field and repeat the same password in the 'Repeat new password' field; and click 'Reset password'. (NB: If the 'Reset password' button is greyed out, it means that the passwords you entered into the 2 input fields are not the same.)
